Flash Application/ Motion Graphics:

For the American Nonsmokers' Right Foundation's "Teens Take Action" campaign, we created a multi-lingual Flash application. I devised an XML format from their initial storyboards (in English and German). The application reads the XML files in at run-time, using a flexible Model-View-Controller architecture to isolate the data. The result is an entertaining, eye-catching piece:

In a course I created for Vitesse Learning, I made this introductory animation using Flash and 3D Studio Max. The 3D element is subtle, blending seamlessly with the abstract, vector-style animation of the Flash component:

DreamLife is a narrative space: an interactive room that tells the story of a woman's life by showing her dreams. The sensor-driven environment is controlled by Macromedia Director and the Shockwave Multiuser Server:

As the primary multimedia author and manager of Creative Services for TV Guide's StarSight division, I have used my broad range of multimedia skills to craft product demonstrations and presentations, demo applications and prototypes, and ambitious immersive multimedia experiences.

Motion Leads The Eye. I use my experience in video editing, 3D animation, and motion graphics to make user interfaces more usable. Motion is a tool, not just a gimmick or an effect.

Sound — The Other Half Of A Multimedia Experience. My background as a musician led me naturally into sound recording, editing, and design, giving my media emotional impact.

Communication. In the end, it's about talking to the audience. When you're explaining a complicated technical issue, making a product easier to understand, or reinforcing your brand, the media needs to communicate. The message is my starting point.
